I'm Jeremiah Burson. I grew up in this area. I worked in the trade for other people, and then as a subcontractor, until I was thirty. I started Burson Construction in 2014, around the time I was starting a family, because I wanted to run jobs my own way.

I now hold a South Carolina Residential Builder license number 52258, valid through June 30, 2028 — and I'm the general contractor on every job we take. I'm the sole owner. I have four children.

Before 2014 I was in the trade for years, as an employee and then as a subcontractor. That time matters because it's how I learned what's behind the walls before I had to price what's in front of them. When I started the company, I started it so the way I ran a job would be my call — how the money works, which trades get brought in, how the schedule is set, and when something goes sideways, how it gets put right.

I'm a member of the Home Builders Association. I carry general liability and workers' compensation coverage, and I'll furnish the certificates on request. I'm registered to work in the gated communities across Bluffton and Hilton Head, and I handle the architectural review submittal for the homeowner.

The work is residential only. Kitchens, bathrooms, additions, outdoor living, exterior and envelope work, and the systems underneath. Plumbing and electrical are performed by licensed subcontractors I bring in and manage — I hold a Residential Builder license, not a plumbing or electrical license, and I say that plainly.

This is a small company on purpose. Being the owner who is also on the job is the point of it. It's the reason the work is the way it is, and it's the reason we take on fewer projects at a time than a larger outfit would.

What we build

Residential work only, across Beaufort County. Four groups of work, each with its own page.

Kitchens

Full kitchen remodels — cabinets, counters, appliances, layout, and the plumbing and electrical underneath, brought in as licensed subcontractors we manage.

Bathrooms

Bathroom remodels from fixture swaps to full gut-and-rebuild, including moving plumbing when the layout changes.

Home Additions

Room additions and second-floor expansions. We hold the Residential Builder license that allows us to build additions, and we pull the permits.

Screened Porches

Screened porches and screened-in patios built to the Lowcountry, with the framing and footing work permitted through your jurisdiction.

Decks

Wood and composite decks, designed for the coastal climate and built to the deck provisions in the building code.

Paver Patios

Paver patios, walkways, and outdoor hardscaping laid on a proper base, not just set on the grass.

Firepits

Custom firepits and outdoor fire features, sited with clearance and built to the local fire-setback rules.

Exterior Remodeling

Exterior updates — siding, façade changes, porches, and curb-appeal work that changes how the house faces the street.

Windows

Window replacement and enlargement. We teach what design pressure ratings mean for a coastal home without publishing a single brand or number.

Service Areas

We work Beaufort County — principally Bluffton, Hilton Head Island, and Okatie. We do not cross into Georgia, and the reason is a licensing one.

Bluffton

Our home town. The housing stock splits into older Old Town houses and newer planned communities — two different kinds of project.

Hilton Head Island

A large share of the housing is second homes and rentals. Salt, sun, and absentee owners shape the work here.

Okatie

Unincorporated, so the county issues the permit. Water is everywhere, and the outdoor living work faces the marsh.
